What's
a Pet Parade? | The Saxonburg Pet Parade is a parade of local residents and visitors who wish to display their
pets as they walk along Saxonburg Main Street.
Many of the entrants have themes to their pet presentation and others dress their
pets up. Some just bring them as they are.
There's always a wide variety of pets from dogs, cats, mice, rabits, snakes, horses,
birds, and many others. One year we even had an ant farm in the parade. |

How
do I register for the Pet Parade? | No pre-registration is required.
The registration for Saxonburg's Pet Parade begins at 6pm and runs
until roughly 7pm on parade night. The registration is held at the Saxonburg
Borough Building and is FREE for all entrants.

Can
I bring any pet to the Pet Parade? | Any pet is welcome in the Saxonburg Pet Parade. The pets must be on a leash
or in a cage or other suitable protection so that a pet is not injured and no one in the parade will be hurt or endangered.
Note:
We ask that no poisonous or dangerous pets be brought to the parade. |

How
long is the Pet Parade? | The Saxonburg Pet Parade begins at Saxonburg Borough Building and run east along Main
Street to the Saxonburg Memorial Presbytrian Church (White Church). The parade route is about 1/2 mile of flat walking and lasts about
45 minutes. |

Is
there any charge to watch the parade? |
The parade is FREE to attend. Just pick your spot along
Saxonburg's Main Street. |

When
does the Pet Parade Start? |
The parade will begin at 7pm near the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church. It's generally over
by 8:30pm. |

Are
their prizes in the Pet Parade? |
Saxonburg VFC has a team of three judges that view the
pets and select winners in a variety of categories including: Best
of Show, Most Original, Most Unusual, Best Groomed, Prettiest, Smallest,
Biggest, and Farthest Distance Travelled. |

After
the Pet Parade can I bring my pet onto the Carnival Grounds? |
Pets on leashes may be brought onto the Carnival Grounds on Tuesday
Night of Carnival ONLY.
Larger pets (such as horses, llamas, goats, sheep) or pets in cages should NOT be brought
onto the Carnival Grounds.
The Carnival Committee, Fire Company Officers or Security Personnel may limit pets that are permitted
on the grounds so that neither the pet or other patrons are not endangered. |
